Poetess and globetrotting painter, Marialuisa de Romans is the author of the paintings in our flats. Born in Milan in 1923, she left us her artistic work in 2018 as Matteo’s grandmother.
And so we took the opportunity to bring her expression to life in our premises. Under Emmanuelle’s guidance, we decided to bring her art into our rooms, turning the flats into veritable art galleries. Her paintings tell fascinating stories and envelop us with their beauty and originality.
The arrival at our farmhouse thus becomes a journey through time and space, enriching the soul of everyone who crosses our threshold. In addition to the works on display, we provide our guests with Marialuisa’s books and catalogues, offering them the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in her life and works.
Grandmother Marialuisa’s ateliers were magical places, surrounded by nature and the harmony of the landscape. Looking out the window, one found oneself immersed in the beauty of the surrounding countryside, a perfect fusion of art and nature.
Our library, the Malù Library, is a place inspired by knowledge and beauty, where you can immerse yourself in the pages of inspiring books and discover the world through words and images. A room of tranquillity and cultural inspiration, ideal for relaxing and letting yourself be carried away by the artistic atmosphere that permeates every corner.
Le Sale di Sopra is not just a farmhouse, but a true art venue where you can admire contemporary works of art and immerse yourself in contemporary aesthetics. Our spaces are a living gallery in the Umbrian countryside.
Come and discover the harmony of body, mind and spirit in an environment that celebrates art, culture and mental well-being. Be ready to be inspired and nourish your soul with the beauty and creativity you will find in the Sale di Sopra.
